Lamplight Editions
LAMPLIGHT EDITIONS was developed by the Company in 1984 to address educational publications, including children's books, scholarly works and textbooks sometime in the future.
The title of this subsidiary alludes to the lantern carried by the Blind Beggar in the Company's logo which he uses to search for truth. This title and logo were developed by C.D. Grant.
To date, this subsidiary has published Communications and Human Needs in Africa (for the University of Lagos in Nigeria), The Bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution: Reflections on the Black Experience (for the NYU Institute of Afro-American Affairs), and a collection of posters and greeting cards with Afro-American and African themes. On the drawing board are a Poetry Handbook slated for classroom use, and carefully selected childrens' books.
